Markovian Assumption
Key idea: the past and future data are independent, conditioned on the present.
The Markovian assumption can be violated in many ways:
- Unmodelled dynamics in the environment
- Inaccuracies in probabilistic models
- Approximation errors when using approximate representations of belief functions
